Man, 20 charged with Perth stabbing attack

A man has been charged over a stabbing in Perth that resulted in a 21-year-old man undergoing emergency surgery.

The 21-year-old man was attacked by a 20-year-old who he knew in Ellenbrook at about 9pm on Saturday, police said.

The victim was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance with stab wounds.

Detectives charged the 20-year-old man with intent to maim by unlawful wounding and he will appear in the Midland Magistrates court on Friday.
