Lives and homes in danger from WA fire

A bushfire is threatening lives and homes in the southern part of the Shire of Dandaragan, about 160km north of Perth.
A watch and act alert has been issued and people were told about 3:30pm on Wednesday to leave or actively defend the fire, which is burning towards the Brand Highway.
The fire started near the intersection of Meadows Road and Indian Ocean Drive in Mimegarra, with temperatures reaching 40C.
