Two 64-year-old men have escaped a light plane crash in WA's Wheatbelt region with minor injuries.

The pilot performed an emergency landing after experiencing technical difficulties with the plane, bringing it down about 200km southeast of Perth in the Piesseville area near Wagin on Monday morning.

The pilot and passenger were treated at the scene by paramedics then brought to Narrogin Hospital.
