Light plane crashes at West Australian airstrip

A light plane has crashed on take-off at a Western Australian airstrip.
Emergency services are rushing to Serpentine airfield, south of Perth. It is understood the aircraft crashed into bush near the airfield.

One person was on board.
A St John Ambulance spokesman said the pilot was aged in his 60s, and was conscious and breathing when paramedics were called.
