Labor's Keogh confirmed for new WA seat

Labor has confirmed Matt Keogh as its candidate for the new federal seat of Burt in Perth's southern suburbs.

Mr Keogh, who ran unsuccessfully against Liberal Andrew Hastie for the seat of Canning in last year's by-election, said he was honoured to have been chosen as Labor's candidate.

Mr Keogh said he would focus on fixing the area's "second-rate" NBN, as well as working to re-open Armadale Police Station in a 24-hour capacity.
