Labor wins new WA seat
AAP
Labor has won the new seat of Burt in Perth's southeast, improving its stocks in the party's weakest state and the Liberals' strongest.
Candidate Matt Keogh, a lawyer, comfortably won ahead of Liberal Matt O'Sullivan in one of the biggest swings towards Labor in the country.
Labor is a chance of picking up Cowan, also in Perth and which the Liberals have held since 2007, with nothing separating the two parties' candidates with more than half of the votes counted.
