Freight train split in two by derailment

A freight train derailment in Western Australia's Goldfields-Esperance region broke the locomotive in two, sparked a fire in one of the wagons and left crew badly shaken.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau is investigating the accident which occurred near Rawlinna, 350km east of Kalgoorlie, on Friday.
The ATSB said 39 of the 59 wagons derailed, starting a fire in a refrigerated food van and damaging about 600m of track.

No dangerous goods were involved in the accident and no fuel was spilled.
