Tiny Pinder to fight historical sex charge

Former Perth Wildcats and Harlem Globetrotter basketballer "Tiny" Pinder will fight an allegation he sexually assaulted a woman in 1987.
Pinder, 59, allegedly sexually assaulted an 18-year-old woman who visited him at a Melville residence when he was aged 30.
The former Harlem Globetrotter appeared in the Fremantle Magistrates Court via video link from prison on Tuesday.

His lawyer told the court Pinder intended to plead not guilty to the charge.
Pinder was granted bail and is scheduled to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on August 26 for a committal mention.
