Fatal car-surf driver dodges jail time
AAP
A driver has avoided jail over the death of a friend who had been "car-surfing" on his vehicle's roof.
Jake Clinton Formica was sentenced in the West Australian District Court on Wednesday to two years and six months imprisonment, suspended and with conditions.
He must meet supervision and program requirements, adhere to a five-month curfew between 10pm and 5am, and has had his driver's licence disqualified for two-and-a-half years.
