Evidence seized in Yuanda asbestos probe
AAP
Australian Border Force officers have seized digital and physical evidence as they investigate suspected illegal imports of Chinese building products containing asbestos.
The search warrants involved Yuanda Australia, which has supplied products to 69 sites across Australia, including Perth's new 60,000-seat stadium.
White asbestos was found last week in a roof panel that had been installed at the city's new children's hospital, sparking fear in hundreds of workers who have signed an "asbestos register" to monitor their future health.

Companies that commit asbestos-related offences can face fines up to $900,000, Border Force says.
