Bushfire burning in Gwindinup, WA, downgraded

Authorities have a fire in WA's South West region under control but are still urging residents to be prepared to leave their homes.
The blaze started in Gwindinup and is burning towards Argyle and Donnybrook.
Early on this morning Emergency WA downgraded its warning to a watch and act alert for those in the Gwindinup and Argyle, saying a possible threat to lives and homes remains as conditions are changing but there was no longer any running fire.
Residents in Myrtle Ridge, Hetherington Road and the lower part of Hurst Road in Gwindinup and Argyle who are not prepared for the fire or plan to leave were advised to leave now if the way was clear.
A bushfire was also burning in Julimar State Forest northeast of Perth yesterday, prompting a watch and act alert which has since been downgraded to an advice alert.
A 41-year-old man is being questioned by police over that blaze.
