Drug traffickers lose appeal in WA

Two men have failed in their bid to overturn their convictions and lengthy jail terms for their part in a multi-million-dollar drug syndicate.

Marc Quaid and Roberto Zanon were found guilty in 2014 of dealing more than 12kg of methylamphetamine, worth up to $4.5 million, in March 2013.

Quaid was sentenced to 23 years in jail with a minimum of 20, while Zanon received 14 years and must serve at least 12 before he can be eligible for parole.

The West Australian Court of Appeal dismissed their cases on Friday.
