Drug task force nets 15kg of ice in WA

A federal and state organised crime task force has taken 15 kilograms of methamphetamine off West Australian streets since it began "kicking in doors" in April.

Justice Minister Michael Keenan said the task force was targeting syndicates importing the illicit drug into the state, and its ice haul to date had an estimated street value of $15 million.

"Sadly our nation's growing addiction to this mind-eating, personality distorting, life-ending drug is paying big dividends to the organised criminal syndicates that are profiting from its misery," Mr Keenan said.
