Drug ice found in champagne in Perth
AAP
A Malaysian man has allegedly tried to smuggle the drug ice through Perth airport in bottles of champagne.
Two boxed 1.5-litre bottles of champagne containing the drug were allegedly discovered by Border Force officers in the man's luggage after he arrived on a flight from Malaysia.
The 26-year-old has been charged him with attempting to import a marketable quantity of a border controlled drug, for which the maximum penalty is life imprisonment.
