Driver pleads guilty to killing pedestrian

A man has pleaded guilty to killing a pedestrian and injuring another person while driving dangerously in Perth's southern suburbs.
Rodney Stewart Halliday struck 45-year-old Darren Bastin with his car while driving on Westfield Road in Kelmscott on November 16 last year.
Mr Bastin died at the scene while a woman was also injured in the crash.

Halliday pleaded guilty in Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday to dangerous driving resulting in death and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
He was released on bail and will reappear at a later date.
