Concerns over trio hunting in remote WA

Fears are held for the welfare of a 57-year-old man and two young boys after they failed to return from a hunting trip in a remote part of Western Australia's East Kimberley region.

Police say the man and the boys, aged nine and 10, left Halls Creek on Monday morning and intended to hunt in nearby bushland.

They were due to return that night, and have limited food and water supplies with them.

Police say they have conducted several aerial searches for the trio, but don't know what direction they took when they left town.

A further search is being planned.

The man is known to one of the boys, and the other boy is the child's friend.
