Charged WA policewoman 'lied about crash'

A West Australian policewoman has been charged after she allegedly crashed a car while off-duty then reported the vehicle as being stolen and attempted to make an insurance claim.
The constable from the South West District has been charged with creating a false belief and attempted intent to defraud or deceive.
She has been stood down from operational duties and will appear in Busselton Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
