Charge laid over Pilbara woman's death

A man has been charged with aggravated grievous bodily harm over the death of a 29-year-old woman in a domestic incident in Western Australia's Pilbara region.

Police found the woman's body during a welfare check at a home in South Hedland on Saturday morning.

They said the charge may be reviewed, pending the outcome of a post-mortem examination.

The 33-year-old man has been refused bail and will appear in the South Hedland Magistrates Court on Monday.
