Bushfire threatens Perth homes and lives
Two bushfires are threatening lives and homes in Perth's east and south.
An emergency warning has been issued for people on Nicholson Road between Swamp Road and Oxley Road in Forrestdale, in the city's east.
"You are in danger and need to act immediately to survive," the Department of Fire and Emergency Services warns.
The bushfire is out of control, with burning embers likely to be blown around homes and spot fires starting ahead of the blaze.
A watch and act alert has also been issued for people on Nicholson Road, between Armadale Road and Swamp Road, and between Oxley Road and Rowley Road, in Forrestdale.
In a separate blaze, a watch and act alert remains in place for Karnup Road and Serpentine Road in Hopeland, in Perth's south.
The cause of both bushfires is believed to be lightning.
