A fire which jumped a major Perth freeway has slowed traffic to a crawl with firefighters scrambled to three separate blazes across the city.

Crews are mopping up after a fire in the city's south shut Kwinana Freeway in both directions on Friday with all lanes re-opened by 4pm.

It is the second fire ignited on the main route to Perth's southern suburbs with firefighters tackling a blaze in Baldivis.

Crews worked through the night to protect homes before an emergency warning was downgraded to a 'watch and act' message early Friday.

The fire has since burnt through more than 1300 hectares and is currently contained.

An evacuation centre has been opened at Mike Barnett Sports Complex in Rockingham.

Meanwhile, a watch and act alert has also been issued for a fast-moving bushfire in Beeliar Regional Park, less than 20km south of Perth's CBD.

Roads have been closed and water bombers are assisting crews on the ground as the blaze moves in a westerly direction towards the coast, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services confirmed.
