Police find body of man missing for 12 months in rural WA town
The body of a man who went missing in rural Western Australia more than a year ago has been found not far from where he was last seen.
Dean Patrick White was last known to be in the Quairading area on March 31 last year.
Major Crime Squad detectives found the 55-year-old's body in a camp area north of the Wheatbelt town on Thursday and are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
They said the remains were found in a bush grave.
A nation-wide search has been underway for Mr White since he disappeared in the area 12 months ago.
Since then his bank accounts have been accessed and his car was found crashed and abandoned in Queensland.
Yesterday police found a number of personal items at a rest stop in the area, however they have not confirmed what those items are.
