Birds die near new Perth Stadium site

The carcasses of about a dozen birds have been removed from parklands near the new Perth Stadium building site on the Swan River.

Burswood Park Board has sent samples of the birds to the Department of Primary Industries for testing to determine their cause of death.

A spokeswoman for the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions says a black swan taken to a local wildlife group has since died but they have not received any reports of other dead birds.
