Anti-Islam party waiting on Wilders visa

The Australian Liberty Alliance believes officials are trying to thwart a visit by Dutch right-wing politician Geert Wilders to Perth.

The anti-Islam party has invited Mr Wilders to its launch later this month but he is yet to secure a visa.

ALA president Debbie Robinson told AAP that Mr Wilders applied for a visa a few months ago and officials were "definitely" stalling.

Comment was being sought from the immigration department.
