Alleged smuggling boss in Perth court

An alleged people smuggling kingpin who was extradited to Australia from Indonesia to face prosecution has appeared briefly in court.
Sayed Abbas is facing 27 charges including organising the passage of three boats intercepted en route to Christmas Island between 2009 and 2011.
Abbas appeared in person in the Perth Magistrates Court on Friday where his case was adjourned until next month.
