Accused thief posed as pest controller

A Perth man is accused of a series of burglaries at a Perth retirement village with police alleging he masqueraded as a pest control worker needing access to homes to check for white ant infestations.
WA Police allege the 41-year-old stole cash from the homes he entered and have charged him with 17 burglary offences.
The man is expected to appear in Perth Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
