A person has won Western Australia's largest lottery prize, a $50 million windfall from the Powerball draw.
The sole division one winner's prize, announced on Thursday night, smashes the WA's previous record of $30 million, won four times in the past, most recently in May.

"We're absolutely thrilled with tonight's result, which has rewritten WA's history books," Lotterywest CEO Paul Andrew said.
"This win does not only hold an incredible $50 million prize, it's also our 50th division 1 Lotto winner for this year."
