WA prison escapee faces string of charges

A 27-year-old prison escapee who was recaptured after two days on the run in Perth has been charged with a string of offences.

Bradley John McIntosh-Narrier escaped on Friday afternoon when he was taken to the Joondalup Health Campus for medical treatment to an injured hand.

It is believed he climbed through the ceiling of a bathroom to escape.

McIntosh-Narrier then allegedly stole two cars, leading police on a short chase through Armadale in one of the vehicles on Sunday, and was recaptured.

On Monday, police said the Midland man had been charged with 29 offences, including escape lawful custody, aggravated armed robbery, aggravated burglary, steal motor vehicle and fail to stop.

He is under police guard in Royal Perth Hospital where he is receiving treatment for injuries sustained during a crash prior to his arrest.

The date of his court appearance is yet to be confirmed.

It was the third escape under the watch of prison transport contractor Serco within two weeks.
