Family appeal for information on homicide

The family of a father of two, who has been missing for eight years, have pleaded for information about his disappearance as police investigate his suspected homicide.

Detectives are seeking the public's assistance with their investigation into the disappearance of Bradley Hugh Hoddy, who has not contacted friends or family since mid-2006.

Mr Hoddy - also known as Bradley Hugh Schultz - has two sons, aged seven and nine.

His sister, Megan Dunstan, said life had been hard for the family not knowing what happened to Mr Hoddy.

"We've had some major things happen in our family and it would have been nice to have him around," she told reporters on Monday.

Ms Dunstan described her brother as a "family man" and a "lovely brother" to her while she was growing up.

"I couldn't have asked for a better brother," she said.

"We just want somewhere we can lay our brother and the kids can go to and mourn their father."

Mr Hoddy's former partner, Victoria Medlicott, said she and her children needed closure.

Police said Mr Hoddy was known to frequent the Perth CBD and northern suburbs.

At the time of his disappearance, he had no fixed address and was staying with friends in the northern suburbs.

The last sighting of Mr Hoddy was at the Warwick Grove Shopping Centre on August 4, 2006.
