Perth pensioner pepper sprayed, ransacked during home invasion
A 67-year-old disability pensioner has been pepper sprayed and his house ransacked during a horror home invasion on Christmas Day.
Steve Zoranich was in bed in his Herne Hill home in Perth when he suddenly felt a pain in his eyes around 11.30pm.
Bandits who had broken in had demanded money from Mr Zoranich before pepper spraying him as he lay in bed.

Mr Zoranich labelled the home invasion cowardly, and called on his attackers to "get a job and do something productive with your life". Nine
Mr Zoranich, who has just 10 per cent of his vision normally, was shocked to find the thieves had stolen his Samsung tablet and a 200-piece coin collection said to be worth thousands.
He is now upgrading his home security as local detectives investigate.
"I'm in bed and I hear this voice saying 'where's your money' and I thought I'm dreaming this, I'm having a nightmare," Mr Zoranich said.
