WA man charged after prostitute bid

A 50-year-old South Perth man has been charged after he allegedly encouraged a 14-year-old girl to commit an indecent act.
The incident occurred in January 2008, West Australian Police said on Wednesday.
Police apprehended the man in Highgate late last month as he was allegedly attempting to solicit a prostitute.

The man has been charged with one count of attempt to procure a child between 13 and 16 years to commit an indecent act and one count of seeking a prostitute in the view of a public place.
He is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on July 17.
