A contestant on The Voice has risked invoking the ire of Kylie fans around the world after refusing to acknowledge the pop princess after his performance.

Adelaide duo ZK, made up of Zaachariah Fielding and Kristal West, impressed with their rendition of Justin Bieber's song 'As Long As You Love Me' but for many Twitter users Zaachariah's cold shoulder overshadowed his vocal ability.

After signing up to team Will.i.am the South Australian friends began to walk off stage with Zaachariah glancing briefly at Kylie, who stood smiling with her arms outstretched, before walking right past her.

He swiftly shuffled on to shake hands Joel Madden and Ricky Martin, leaving Kylie shocked and rubbing her hands awkwardly at the seemingly intentional affront.

Twitter users reacted to the apparent snub with shock and anger.

Twitter user Brad Amour labelled Zaachariah's actions as "quite rude and disrespectful" while aLX called the singer's snub "racist".

"Did the male contestant from ZK just snub Kylie when she went to give him a hug? Not cool," Kat wrote.

"That dude from the group ZK just barred Kylie so bad!!!," Kayla Mcleod posted.
