Students targeted in series of violent assaults
Frustrated staff and parents of a school on Queensland's Sunshine Coast have taken to the streets in protest after a series of violent assaults targeting students.
A series of videos obtained by 9NEWS show students from Caboolture's Horizons College being threatened, bullied and assaulted.
Horizons College offers special assistance education. Many of the students travel to and from school on the train.
Most of the videos appear to have been filmed at or near the nearby Caboolture train station.
Principal Jan Robinson said her students have been targeted since October. She knows of six bashings but said there may have been more.
"One punch can kill and we want our students to be safe".
Queensland police minister Mark Ryan told 9NEWS police would be conducting additional patrols.
