Viral star wows TODAY with treadmill dance moves

Dance choreographer Carson Dean has revolutionised the way people exercise on treadmills.

After uploading a video of himself performing his moves on a treadmill to Mark Ronson’s ubiquitous hit “Uptown Funk”, Mr Dean found himself going viral.

The video was uploaded only four months ago and has already been shared more than eight million times.

The Los Angeles-based dancer has since performed on Ellen and the hit German TV show ZDF FernsehGarten, and now he’s showed off his moves on Weekend TODAY.

When asked how his new talent began, Mr Dean said it came to him naturally.

“I do silly things all the time so it just happened I put on my headphones, was feeling the music and just went to town,” he said.

“It was just natural for me to start dancing.”

Mr Dean is in Sydney to run in the City2Surf next weekend.
