Violent tornado rips through US house

A driver has captured the moment a tornado ripped through a house in the US state of Wyoming yesterday.

The video, uploaded to YouTube by Ohio Storm Chasers, shows the driver moving towards the tornado as it hit north-eastern Colorado.

Tracking the violent storm as it moved over the border and into Wyoming, the tornado is seen to take out a house lying in its wake.

“Big, big debris in the air!” said one passenger in the car.

“Was anybody in there?” asked another.

“Stay calm.”

Forecasters have issued a tornado watch in Weld County and four other counties in north-eastern Colorado and Wyoming.
