A heartwarming video of a seven-week-old Victorian baby hearing for the first time has become an online sensation.
The Lever family from Blairgowrie filmed their little boy Lachlan when he was fitted with his first hearing aid.
Baby Lachlan was diagnosed with a severe hearing impairment at four weeks old.

Mum Michelle said she cried for “12 hours straight”.
“I handled it badly,” she said.
“I was worried about the future for our little boy.”
He was fitted with a hearing aid at seven weeks, initially distressed at the unfamiliar sensation – until it was switched on.
“His eyes lit up, he smiled for the very first time,” Mrs Lever said.
“I got very teary.”
Lachlan is now two years old.
The video of his fitting was filmed in 2012 but was shared online last week during Hearing Awareness Week, and it has gone viral.Advertisement
