Victoria’s Secret model struts down catwalk in the sky
Victoria’s Secret model Kelly Gale has starred in Virgin Australia’s first-ever catwalk in the air.
The stunning model beamed walking through the aisles of the packed Airbus A330 as it flew from Sydney to Melbourne this morning.
Gale wore a demi-couture, scarlet-red dress by local brand Ginger & Smart, whose designs were showcased in the unique parade held 30,000 feet in the air.
The 22-year-old jetted in from Los Angeles especially for the event, which she said was a “natural fit”.
“Aviation runs in the family- my mum is a pilot, so I jumped at the chance to be involved,” she said in an official statement.
Show producer Cat Rose said the parade was a challenge, but worth the “incredible” outcome.
“There were so many elements to consider, from lighting, to sound, to guest comfort, and most importantly safety, but we were able to navigate all of these challenges in a constricted space,” Ms Rose said.
The event promoted the upcoming Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival, which kicks off on March 1.
