Hang glider dead in crash near Ararat

A man has died in a hang gliding crash in Victoria’s west today.
Emergency services were called to bushland near Mt Cole, northeast of the town of Ararat, about 1.30pm after the man crashed.
Victoria Police said the man died at the scene and it is believed the hang glider plunged several metres into a tree.

The area is a popular spot for hang gliders.
