Victoria hit with more aftershocks two weeks after state's largest ever earthquake
Victoria has been hit with more aftershocks near a regional town 170 kilometres east of Melbourne, two weeks after a 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck the state.
The first aftershock with a 2.9 magnitude shook the town of Rawson about 11.11pm yesterday at a depth of 10 kilometres.
According to Geoscience Australia, 14 people reported feeling the earthquake.

The second aftershock with a 3.0 magnitude occurred today at 7.17am, with 12 people reporting to have felt the tremors about eight kilometres below the ground.
State Emergency Management Commissioner Andrew Crisp last month warned Victorians aftershocks could continue to rattle the state for weeks and months to come.
"There is still the chance of significant aftershocks to impact Victoria," he said at the time.

The earthquake on September 22 was the largest Victoria has ever experienced.
Dozens of buildings were damaged by the earthquake, with SES Chief Officer Operations Tim Wiebusch previously flagging building wall collapses on Chapel Street in South Yarra and Brunswick Road in Fitzroy as areas of concern.
About 35,000 residents lost power following the quake.
In the event of an earthquake, Victorians have been urged to drop to the ground, take cover and hold onto something sturdy until the shaking stops.
