Young Vic workers underpaid $14,000

A Melbourne restaurateur is accused of underpaying 26 young workers more than $14,000 over three months.

Melbourne man Matteo Bruno and his company, The Meatball and Wine Bar Pty Ltd, will face Federal Court for allegedly underpaying 26 workers by $14,149 between July and October 2016.

The workers, all but four aged 20 or younger, were allegedly paid flat hourly rates that did not take into account overtime and penalty rates for weekend and late-night work.
