Missing teen who vanished after boating accident identified as search continues for second day
The missing teen who vanished in water near the Victoria-NSW border has been identified as Jack Bird.
The Shepparton teen went missing during a fishing trip on Lake Mulwala in Yarrawonga.
Jack and another teen were both thrown from a small tinny after they were hit by a wave about 9am yesterday.

Police confirmed a "good Samaritan" went in to help the two boys after seeing the pair treading water, about 200m off the shore.
The bystander pulled one of the teens to shore, but after returning to the water, Jack was missing.
"The good Samaritan has then gone out to assist the second male in the water but he was unable to be located," Senior Sergeant Nathan Ractliffe said.

Search and Rescue officers are currently searching the lake with the assistance of Airwing, SES, and police divers. Supplied
Police divers and other emergency services have spent the past day searching the lake.
Sonar, a technique that uses sound propagation to navigate and detect objects under the surface of the water is also being used by police.
Search boats had to be pulled from the water overnight but the search resumed with first light today.
It's understood the boys were visiting from elsewhere in Victoria.
