Wrecked cars torched in Victoria

A fire at a car wrecking yard in Geelong is being treated as suspicious.

Police say accelerant was used to set fire to a stack of cars lined up against a fence at the North Shore wrecking yard on Georges Road at 10.20pm on Wednesday.

Numerous other stacks were quickly engulfed by flames and while the extent of the damage is not yet known, police are treating the blaze as suspicious.
