Would-be Melb thief treated for cut hands

A would-be thief has ended up in hospital after he cut his hands trying to break into house opposite a Melbourne police station.
Heidelberg Police were called to the Jika Street property at 6.30am on Friday following reports the man was trying to break into the home.
The 34-year-old Bellfield man needed treatment by ambulance officers and was taken to hospital.
