Worker's face punched in Macca's robbery

A worker has been punched in the face during a violent armed robbery at a Melbourne McDonald's restaurant.

Police say three people smashed their way into the Altona Meadows store just before 4am on Wednesday, hit a man and took off with wallets, mobile phones, an entire cash register and another till.

The injured man, aged in his 20s, was treated by paramedics but not taken to hospital.
