Man, woman die in separate Vic crashes

Two people are dead after separate crashes within two hours of each other on Victorian roads.

A pedestrian died after she was hit by a motorcyclist when crossing Warragul Road in Cheltenham about 5.40pm on Tuesday.

She died at the scene and the motorcyclist is in hospital with serious injuries.

Then, just before 7.30pm a man died when his car crashed with a ute at the intersection of Lancefield-Melbourne Road and Sutherlands Road in Clarkefield.

The driver of the 4WD utility was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
