Woman injured after hit by car in driveway

A woman has suffered life threatening injuries after she was hit by a car in a Melbourne driveway.
A man was driving a car out of a block of units when his car struck the 27-year-old woman in Caulfield on Sunday evening.
The 32-year-old driver, who is known to the woman, is helping police.

Meanwhile, a woman has died after her car crashed into a tree in Beechworth, also on Sunday night.
Police and a local man pulled the woman from the burning car. She was taken to Beechworth Hospital where she later died.
Her death takes Victoria's road toll to 56, compared to 53 for the same time last year.
