Woman critical after Melbourne hit and run

A hit-run victim is in a critical condition after an argument with a van driver in Melbourne.
The woman, 37, is in hospital with injuries to her head, chest and pelvis after she was knocked to the ground by a van that did not stop about 10pm on Tuesday night in back streets of Dandenong.
Police believe the woman was on the street arguing with two men before they returned to a van and drove off striking, her in the process.

The woman was initially taken to Dandenong Hospital but her condition deteriorated and she was transferred to The Alfred hospital.
