Woman hit and killed by train in Melbourne

A woman has died after being struck by a train in the inner Melbourne suburb of St Kilda.

Police say the woman died at the scene after being struck by the city-bound train near Raglan Street just before 10.30pm on Friday.

The woman has still to be identified and police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
