Dead Vic woman had 'significant injuries'

A woman found dead at an inner-Melbourne house had significant injuries, with police treating her death as suspicious.

Emergency services were called to a house at Richmond about 4pm on Tuesday where the 49-year old had been found.

She had suffered "significant injuries" Victoria Police spokeswoman Sergeant Kim Bramwell said.

Investigators remain at the scene trying to determine how the woman died.

No one has been arrested.
