Woman dies when car hits tree in Melbourne

A woman has died after losing control of her car and crashing into a tree in Melbourne's west.
Police say the the crash happened on Mt Cottrell Road in Melton South at around 7.40pm on Saturday.
The 50-year-old Melton woman died at the scene.
