Woman charged over fatal Vic crash

A 22-year-old woman has been charged over a crash in Melbourne that killed a teenage girl and injured seven others.

The Healesville woman was charged on Friday with culpable driving and dangerous driving causing death, as well as other traffic offences, in relation to the fatal smash in October 2015.

A 16-year-old female passenger died in the Mount Evelyn crash while eight other occupants of the car - including the 22-year-old driver - were injured.

The car driver is due to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates' Court next Friday.
